AIR CONDITIONING - SALES ENGINEERING INTERN

Location: Kapolei, Hawaii

Carrier Hawaii has an opening for a part-time Sales Engineering Intern.

Description: The Sales Engineering Intern is responsible for supporting the senior engineers with orders, customer inquiries, selections of equipment and learning the process and procedures of the company.

Requirements:

- High School diploma, and currently enrolled in an Engineering Discipline at a 4 year University.

- Capable to work independently and self-motivated

- Must be knowledgeable in Word and Excel

- Organized and able to multi-task

- Excellent communication and writing skills

- Solutions oriented and good with conflict resolution

- Great interpersonal skills, technical knowledge, and punctual

ACCOUNTANT

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Carrier Hawaii is looking for an organized and driven accountant to join our accounting department.  The accountant position will work closely with other accountants and operations personnel and handle day-to-day bookkeeping specializing in accounts payable.  We’re an energetic company and are looking for a passionate individual to join our organization to revitalize our record keeping and bring more organization to our day-to-day financials.  This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.  Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.

2.  Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries.

3.  Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, scheduling and preparing checks, resolving purchase order, contract, invoice or payment discrepancies.

4.  Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.

5.  Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.

6.  Preparation of 1099 at year-end.

7.  Communicates with co-workers, management, customers, vendors and others regarding purchases.

8.  Daily reconciliation of accounts payable reports.

9.  Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities.

10.  Coordination and completion of annual audits.

11.  Prepare financial reports/support and projects as needed by the Chief Financial Officer.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

This is a full-time position.  Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4pm.  Some flexibility in hours is allowed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.  Minimum associate degree or higher in accounting.

2.  5+ years accounting experience

3.  Computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and databases.

4.  Excellent organizational, problem-solving and communication skills
